Meet
The
Team
established in 1986
Our staff is based in ART, designers are graduates of art institutions in Boston and Hartford, and we have chosen to do sign work as a passion we want to do every day. WE use our years of experience to design your project in a way that represents YOU best.
Paul
Tucker
owner, sign artist
I was always the kid in school who could draw things. It was my thing, my way to stand out. In 1985, I graduated from Butera School of Art with a degree in Sign Art. After an apprenticeship in Manchester, NH’s top sign shop, I started Sign Logic in 1986.
I enjoy how owning a small business puts me in contact with other business owners and managers who are looking for what I do best: signs, pinstriping, and truck lettering.
When I am not working, Carol and I like to go to Ogunquit, ME, Martha’s Vineyard, and Stowe, VT. We enjoy hiking, local haunts for great food, and breweries. On Wednesday nights, I can be found drumming in my basement with my band “The Recliners.”
If I am not smiling, I am laughing, surrounded by our kids and grandkids.
Carol
Tucker
owner, scheduling, bookkeeping
I started at Sign Logic over 24 years ago, part-time, answering the phone. That idea lasted about a minute; before I knew it, I was working full time. My role changed: answering the phone turned into getting decals ready, cleaning off cars, climbing ladders, and digging holes for sign posts!
My business card says CFO. I do the bookkeeping, scheduling, pricing, greeting customers, and a delivery here and there. I still answer the phone (that never stopped), but digging holes and climbing ladders to install signs did!
When not at work, Paul and I love to spend time with family (especially the grandchildren). We love to spend time in Wells and Ogunquit, Stowe, Vermont, and the Vineyard.
Greg
Gorman
head of design
My love for art and drawing started at a young age. After bedtime, I would sneakily stay up late drawing on the pages of my storybooks. Eventually, people caught on to my destructive behavior and started gifting sketchbooks and art supplies. By my senior year at Hudson High, I was skipping class to work on art projects. It was pretty clear that my future was heading towards being a starving artist.
I attended the Hartford Art School at the University of Hartford. That is where I found a love for printmaking. I learned the traditional methods of etching, lithography, relief printing, and monotype. I graduated in 2010 with a BFA.
In 2011, I found a way to not starve. I started my career in digital printing, designing and producing vehicle graphics for municipalities all over New England. After 9 years in the industry, I was ready for a change.
Que Paul and Sign Logic!
Under Paul's tutelage, I have gravitated into the sign business, while expanding my design capabilities beyond the word "POLICE". I am currently pursuing the art of pinstriping, hand lettering, and the love of working with my hands. I now consider myself a working artist, and I am not starving!
Enough about art and so-called "work." My time is best spent with my wife and son and hanging out with friends and family. I enjoy fishing, kayaking, collecting oddities, and cruising in the old Mustang.
Oh yeah...from September to November, my life is consumed by Halloween and building my home haunt.
